Show Karl B. Hale Named President Of Nat'l Sons Of Utah Pioneers Prominent South East business busi-ness man and realtor, Karl B. Hale, was named president of the National Society of the Sons of Utah Pioneers Saturday at the annual national encampment encamp-ment staged in Cedar City. The newly elected president is the immediate past first vice president of the organization. organ-ization. He also served as president of the Sugar House chapter and was president and organizer of the East Mill Creek chapter. He succeeds Dr. Carl J. Chritstensen, University of Utah chemistry professor. Other officers elected include in-clude Earl A. Hansen, Logan, first vice president; Richard D. Poll, Provo, second vice president; presi-dent; Parson U. Webster, Cedar City, third vice president; Joseph G. Jepson, Salt Lake City, fourth vice president; J. Henry Graff, St. George, fifth vice president, and J. B. Hunt, Provo life membership trustee. The group made a toiir of the Piute Indian village at Cedar City and a president's banquet highlighted the evening at New Harmony. At the business meeting a vote of confidence was given to Horace A. Sorensen, managing manag-ing director of the Pioneer Village and Museum, 2998 Connor St. The village is a project of the SUP members. Religious services Sunday at the Duck Creek Camp grounds climaxed the three day outing. |
