This group, consisting of Ralph Adamson, Nancy Caldwell, Wayne Coon, Cathy Cornwall, Kent Steadman, and Adelle Wheat, will meet daily on school time until the writing of the program is completed. The Olympus Jr. Bulldogs lost a heart-breakin- g 23-2- 2 decision to the Central Bruins on the bas-ketball court at Central Jr. on Thursday, March 14. The loss cost the Bulldogs a chance to tie for first place, but they still finished the season with a respectable 6-- 3 wen-lo- st record in leauge play. Friday, March 29 at Olympus Jr. The Student Council has announ-ced a tentative theme of "Disney-land" for this event, and has sug-gested that the students costumes and the special program be plan-ned for the day along this line. This proposal has met with some con-centrated opposition, and there is some question as to whether it will be followed. Prizes will be awarded to stu-dents having the most original, cleverest, most humorous, and dingiest costumes. The movie "Hondo" will be shown in the afternoon at a cost of 25 cents to each student. The committee responsible for writing the ninth grade promotion exercises has been chosen from the many ninth graders who en-tered applications for a position "Teen-Talkers- " . OLYMPUS JR. HIGH by Nick Sturgeon "Dingy Day," a traditional dress-u- p day for students, will be held case and throne. The queen will be elected by the vote of the stu-dent body. The Junior Prom is traditionally the biggest dance of the year and we encourage everyone to come and enjoy an outstanding evening. Tickets are 51-7- 5 a couple and the dress is semi-form- al. April 30 and May 1 have been set aside as the dates for the presentation of the George Gersh-win operetta, "Girl Crazy". March 29 has been set aside as the special date. Wark has already begun, accord-ing to Burton Mitchell, dance chairman. Decorations, under the direction of Gail Braithwaite, are to be very simple DUt extremely elegant. The colors of pink, lavendar, and silver will carry out the theme. The center of interest will be a fountain head set off by these colors.
