Show Vacations - Visitors ..Parties Mrs. William DeReus, 2648 Preston, will be hostess to the Elizabeth Fullmer Camp of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Thursday, June 13 at 1:30 p.m. Mrs. Lillian Lund will review a history of Jens Larsen Lund who came from Denmark to Utah in 1859. Following the lesson the hostess will be assisted in serving light refreshments. Richard Holbrook is leaving for Fort Lewis, Washington for two weeks, starting June 15, to be with the Army Summer Camp. He is serving with 328th Hospital group. He will be driving with Dr. Ed Keller, Kenneth Dedekind, D.D.S., Max Cutler. Back from a fishing trip to Island Park, Idaho are the Stephen Step-hen Richards family of 3993 Parkview Drive. All caught the limit of fish, big rainbow trout. Pictures were taken to prove that there were some who ''didn't get away." On the way back, they stopped at Lava Hot Spring for a cooling: swim. Ken Judd with his wife and baby have just returned from Los Angeles where they have been visiting. Formerly of L. A., Mr. Judd and his 'wife had a marvelous mar-velous time visiting with friends. ta.r. and .Mrs. Eldred C. Chapman Chap-man of Brookhill drive, -are just returning from Los Angeles where Mr. Chapman was attending a convention of the Packard Bell Television Co. Combining vacation vaca-tion with business, Mr. and Mrs. Chapman visited with friends and family and brought back with them Mrs. S. C. Ensign, sister-in- law of Mrs. Chapman. Previous to that, they had made a trip to Hawaii. They also went through the Hawaiian LDS temple. Mr. and Mrs. Don Alder and family of 2615 So. 19th East, left Saturday for a two weeks vacation vaca-tion in California. They drove in their new Dodge station wagon and will take the children to Disney Dis-ney Land. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Mackay spent the week-end in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Mr. and Mrs. Percy Kittle have opened their pool for the children on Saturday mornings from 9 to 12. This the third year they have done this and the number of children attending these "swims" testifies to the fact that they are appreciated. A stocking dance and pot-luck dinner was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John McRae, 3716 Hillside Lane. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Ormand S. Coulam, Ernest J. Pedler, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Van Seters, Mr. and Mrs. J. Thomas Fyans, and Mr. and Mrs. J. Richard Andersen. Ander-sen. . Mrs. Thomas Lynott entertained at a party Tuesday, to try out the new barbecue. Guests invited to the initiation were Mr. and Mrs. N. A. Tutle, and Mr. and Mrs. N. A. Tuttle Jr., and the children. |
