Layne, an early pioneer of Lewiston, died Wednesday Dec. 15, at the age of 89, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Florence Taylor of Preston. He was bom 'Feb. 4, 1859 at Bountiful, Utah, a son of Janathan Ellis and Lucinda Stout Layne, he married Delilah C. iS'mith at Hooper, Utah. Surviving are five sons and daughters: Florence Taylor, Preston; Ida Brunson, Twin Falls; Emma Pehrson, Logan; Leland Layne, Lewiston, and Ross Layne, Ogden; 24 grand children, 35 great grandchildren and three great-gre- at grandchildren, also two half brothers and one half sister. kyyvAl-wjaA- . .
