Will Not Foodstuffs Con-fisca- te One of the most pernicious falsehoods being circulated throughout the country by enemies of the Gov- ernment, is that declaring that the United States is urging wholesale canning of fruits, vegetables, and meats with a view to confiscating all over one hundred quarts canned hy any one family. Special advices to the Utah Agricultural College Washington, D. C. brand this story as a falsehood. The government will not confiscate a quart of foodstuffs canned by its citizens. It most earnestly urges that the citizens can or dry all food material available, because this will 'release a larger portion of the factory canfor use in the army and ned foods navy.
