Whalon, ol this city, seems to have an inclinatoin to deal in live stock as well as in mines and real estate. The Provo Dispatch says that "J.H.VVhalon has traded his Ilardie addition to Provo to Mr. Rush Warnerthe Equitable Insur-ance man lor a big bunch of Tolled Ansus cattle all of which are registered stock except the calves, also full blood. This herd will be ( laced on Mr. Wha-lon'- s ranch some twelve or fourteen miles southwest of Salt Lake Citv. for raising pure stock of this class." From a private letter from Marysvale we learn that the snow is very deep in Bullion canyon near that place, and that there have been several snowslides there of late. Several of the prominent oficials of the Rio Grande western railroad com pany have been down that way, and in-spected the leading mines in the canyon A number of mining men the letter stated, have congregrated there and it is auticpated that mining matters will be brisk there in the spring. The outlook tor that portion of Utah looks bright from a mining point of view.
