Show Parry's ToWer Guibe Utah High School Football rti THE SAN JUAN RECORD Wednesday, October 9, 2002 - Page 15 Golfers enjoy Four Comers School benefit tourney Saturday, September 28th, was a chilly, blustery day, but that didnt keep away the 36 H, diehard golfers who participated in the Four Corners School First Annual Golf Tour- '4 A ' . nament. In fact, Terry Eardley, coach of the Monticello High School golf team, summed it up when he said: It was a great day and a fun tournament with lots of food, fun, and great people. Its one to put on your calendar for next year! r a Lunch was served just before play started, which gave everyone a chance to get acquainted. There was even a silent auction that allowed players to get fantastic deals for everything from glider plane flights to restaurant gift certificates. Play started at noon and continued until five, at which time the School provided an ice cream snack, winners were announced, and prizes were distributed to an eager crowd. A King of the Auction" trophy was awarded to Reid Ross of Durango, Colorado, who was responsible for soliciting many of the auction items and prizes from Durango businesses.
