Show A r k AV WO w w A hans jensen prominent monti monticello acello resident dies ies 0 hans jensen 63 died at his home in monticello monday at am from cerebral emral thrombosis after an illness of two years funeral services were held wednesday at pm in the L D S chapel with bishop 1 K S summers officiating burial was in the family plot in monticello under the direction of the mitchell mortuary hans jensen a son of christian and caroline jensen was born at ephraim utah on dec 31 1888 his early life was spent in ephraim where he was associated with his father and brother in the meat market business he came to monticello in 1911 travelling tra velling by wagon which required 18 days to make the trip shortly after coming to monticello he h home ome steadied a tract of land about five miles south ot town and has continued his farming operations since that time he was married carrik I 1 to della delia adams in 1914 at monticello where they have continued to make their home in 1921 mr jensen opened the ithe first butcher shop in san juan county and through his thrift and industry he built up his business until it has grown into a mercantile institution prominent in civic affairs he was a member of the civic club and at one time served as county commissioner he is survived by his widow three daughters mrs rulon somerville and mrs robert of monticello and mrs dawn boyle of st louis mo and one son ned A jensen of monticello an infant son buckley died in 1923 hans jensen was a prominent and highly respected citizen his very kindly and genial p personality erson won a host of friends who join his family in mourning his passing |
