Show SIXTY-TWO BIRTHS ARE REPORTED DURIXG WEEK There was no race enicido in Salt Lake City for the week just ended, according ac-cording to the report of the health de parimcnt. Tho births numbered 62, outnumbering the deaths by almost 3 to 1. Of tho large number of births, 29 were males and 33 females. There were only 23 deaths. 15 males and eight females. fe-males. Eight bodies wero shipped here for burial. Contagious and infections diseases dropped from 2(3 for tho previous week to 18 this week, as follows: Four cases of scarlet fever, 4 cases of diphtheria, S cases of whooping cough and 2 cases of typhoid f cvor. Five cases of smallpox small-pox remain at the isolation hospital, 4 houses remain under quarantine in the city on account of smallpox; 9 houses on account of scarlet fever, and 2 on account of diphtheria. |
