Show GENERAL. . Senate Special Session. Washington, 16. Ferry, of Connecticut, Con-necticut, and Logan of Illinois, took the'.r seats f -r the first time this session. Brownlow, of Tenn., Johnson, John-son, of Va., and Kellogg, of La , are abscent from the city. There are three vacancies, one from Georgia, one from Alabama, and one from North Carolina. After prayor and reading the jour nal, a resolution was offered, which was agreed to, requesting the President, it not inconsistant with the public interest, inter-est, to communicate copies of all correspondence cor-respondence in state departments in relation to 'he ship Hudson and the schooner Washington, the property oi citizens of Connecticut, seized by the British authorities on the Falkland Islands, in 1854; and also the report of Lieut. Lynch, or other officers, on file in tho navy department, on the same subject. On the motion of Cameron the Senate went into executive session. The Premature Publication.- . Washington, 16. Tho subject of the premature disclosure of the treaty of Washington, is more talked of heie than any other, and an opinion prevails pre-vails among many senators and others, that the commitec having investigated as to the conduct of senators with regard re-gard to the publication of the treaty, have the right to require correspondents to answer further as to the sources ol their information. . It is expected that tho Tribune s correspondents will be reported re-ported to tbe Senate to day, and it they refuse to answer questions, thai body w ll decide what their punishment punish-ment thail be. A Train Burned. New York, 16. A train from Jamaica, Ja-maica, consisting of two passengei cars, a milk car and two flats loaded wiih hay, caught fire near Clarence ville yesterday and was burned up. Nu passengers were hurt. Control of the Erie. The Sun this morning repeats the report of Vanderbilt's purchase of Gould, Fisk & Co's interest in the Erie road, and says it is generally believed be-lieved to be true, though every effort is being made to keep it secret It also saya that Scott, of the Pennsylvania Central. Jay, of the Michigan Central, and others are reported to have made liberal offers for the control of the Erie, but Vanderbilt has finally succeeded suc-ceeded in effecting an arrangement by which the Erie will be re-organizec and incorporated with the lines already under his control.
