A Washington di.-patch says the last order for bayonets was i.-sued yesterday, yester-day, for the voters of the Buffalo district, dis-trict, the commanding officers at Fort Erie being instructed to icspond to the call of the Federal and civil authorities of Buffalo. The compiiment of soldiers, with marines, thus far brought into service for to day, at New York, Baltimore, Balti-more, Richmond, Buffalo, Norfolk and other places, will reach 6.UU0 armed men. The Wrbl this morning highly commends com-mends the appointment of Caleb Cush-ing, Cush-ing, as special deputy district attorney, and attributes this action ol the administration ad-ministration to the influence of Secretary Secre-tary Fish: and adds: ''It will be seen that the Federal government has withdrawn with-drawn its menancc, that there is to be no military intimidation at the polls, that there are to be no arrests of persons per-sons in the act of voting, and lhat there is to be no display of Federal soldiers sol-diers in our streets. Few arrests have been made, and there has been no unusual un-usual disturbance around the polls. The day certainly, since six e'clock last night, is the most quiet this city has seen for years.
