Show Should bi; Au.vtid. The crowd that assembles at the U. C. depot on the coming in of a Sunday evening train is a nuisance of the most aggravating aggra-vating kiDd, which should be abated. With tho-e who a-semble to meet friends are hundreds who have no earthly business there nor heavenly, either and who in gratifying an impertinent im-pertinent curiosity block up the way so that the police can scarcely make room lor passengers to leavu the car-. We a.-k in behalf of the travelipg public that all persons be kept off the landing platform when a train arrives except those whose business calls them there. It is a rule enforced at more than one railroad platform. It might be said, too, that there was more profane language used in the crowd at the depot on last Sunday night, than we ever expected to hear on any occasion J in this city. There is an ordinance I against such language, aud its enforce-I enforce-I ment a few times, these days, would heip to trrug the fact to the memories of iho.-e who think they are making themselves appear like men when they : are only showing how disgustingly they can express themselves by using such language. |
