Show STETEFELDT FIlfiMCE. REDUCTION OF ROYALTY. Tho uniform success of the Stete-feldt Stete-feldt Furnace, and the increasing demand de-mand for it, have enabled the owners to greaily reduce the rates hitherto oharged for us use. Accordingly, on the first of June the royally was re duced to 0E DOLLAR per ton. and to enco 'toge the working of ores of inferior value they will offr special terms to companies having largo supplies sup-plies of ore of very low grade. Special terms also for "tailings." lo those parties who prefer not lo pay royalty, the owners are prepared to sell the right for a single furnace, or for a lniuiui; district or larger nrri- tory, tn commutation of all royal y, on highly advantageous terms. COST OF BUILDING THE FURNACE. Infringers of our patents, aod parties par-ties interested in crude competing tur-j tur-j uaces, have spread false reports respecting res-pecting the expenso of building ihe Stetefcldt Furnace, but refcreoue to the official statements of the cost of building build-ing several of ihem will serve to rel'uie thoso reports. In tho beginning iho construction of the Sictef'ddt Furnace as is true of alt works based upon novel methods was necessarily mure expensive than it is now; but even the firot furnace was cheaper, considering its great capacity and durability, than any other kind in use. Experience has enabled the owners to improve iQe plan of construction by which the expenso of a well-built furnace is greatly reduced. reduc-ed. Estimates of the cost of the furnace fur-nace proper, of a capably of 30 tons a day, do not exceed $5,000. SECURITY OF PATENTS. Th; right to use tho Stetefeldt Fur nace and Process is secured by lour patents issued to Charles Stetefeldt.. and one patent issued to Eugene N Riotte. In addition to these, and in order to insure to their customers the uninterrupted enjoymentot their privileges privi-leges without danger of tedious and expensive litigation, the owners of the Stetefeldt patents have secured the exclusive right to use for chlondizing purposes every furnace patented in the United States prior to the Stetefeldt patents with which there could be evcu a trivial or fancied interference. Their patents are twelve in number. Haviug thus secured their original patents and afforded ample protection to those using the SteieieMt Furnace, pHolio notice is given that infringements infringe-ments upon these patents will be prosecuted prose-cuted to the utmost limit of tho law. Several infringements have been already al-ready attempted, but they were ot such clumsy construction that they failed to do the work oxpeoted of them, and thus rendered prosecution unnecessary. unneces-sary. In tho Bingle suit which has thus far been brought, the validity of the Steteleldt patents was promptly sustained, sus-tained, judgment given, and damages awarded and paid.
