Show D U P Elect New Officers' The Roosevelt Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers held the regular annual election at a meeting held Friday afternoon after-noon at the home of Mrs. Ray E, Dillman with Mrs. Heber T. Hall and Mrs. Dillman as hostesses. The result of the election was Mrs. Mildred Dillman, president; Mrs, Erma C, Jensen, 1st vice president; Mrs. Gcnieve Gilbert, 2nd vice president; Mrs. Olive Harrison, secretary and treasurer; treasur-er; Mrs. Elsie Taylor, custodian of relics; Mrs. Mattie Edwards, registrar; Mrs. Margaret Hall, historian and Mrs. Alta Phillips, chaplain. Mrs. Helen Howells, the retiring retir-ing president took charge of the meeting and the following program pro-gram was carried out: Community Commun-ity singing led by Mrs. Tina Wilkins Wil-kins with Mrs. LaVern Heiner at the piano; invocation by Mrs-. Florence Neilsen; lesson "The Indian Wars with the Pioneers", by Mrs. Dillman; benediction by Mrs. Alta Phillips. Mrs. Wilkins reported on the progress of - the placing of the first bell in Roosevelt Roose-velt which will be set in cement on the City grounds. Mrs. Harrison Harri-son read the minutes and called the roll. The following members were present: Mrs. Pearl Redmond, Red-mond, Mrs. Mary Orser. Mrs. Clara Timothy, Mrs. Lavern Heiner, Mrs. Beryl Root, Mrs. Tina Wilkins, Mrs. Erma Jensen, Mrs. Florence Nielson, Mrs. Olive Harrison, Mrs. Alta Phillips, Phil-lips, Mrs. Elsie Taylor. Mrs. M. J. Edwards, Mrs. Helen Howells, and the hostesses Mrs. Dillman and Mrs. Hall; Mrs. MaRee Nelson Nel-son was a guest. |
