Show Myton Mrs. Grace Dalgleish The American Legion and Aux-iliary, Aux-iliary, Wm. R. Sands Post and Unit No. 5, held their regular meeting Friday evening in the Legion hall. Commander Harvey Partridge conducted the Legion meeting. Following the regular order of business, three new members were initiated. President Gladys Dennis had ,'charge of the Auxiliary meeting. The usual order of business was conducted, with one new membership mem-bership being accepted. At the close of the meetings, the Auxiliary Auxil-iary entertained the Legionnaires, Legion-naires, serving a delicious lunch in celebration of the twenty-ninth twenty-ninth birthday anniversary of the organization of the American Ameri-can Legion. The grounds at the L.D S. ward chapel were crowded with enthusiastic bidders, Saturday, when the auction got into full swing to raise the funds needed to beautify the chapel grounds. Items, both great and small, were donated to be auctioned to , the highest bidder and fun and jokes by the auctioneers enlivened enliven-ed the rivalry of the jolly crowd. The Relief Society served lunch to help swell the funds and were liberally patronized by the townspeople and those who came from far and near to support a worthy cause. More than $1000 was netted from this venture, and soon the half block that has been newly leveled and cleaned, will be blossoming with flowers and shrubs. A lawn and new fence will also add to the appearance . of the chapel. This will be another new improvement improve-ment in Myton. G. A. Cooper, of Price, visited relatives in Myton last week. Miss LaVora Murray returned to her studies at the University in Salt Lake City, Friday, after spending a week with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilrner Murray. Mur-ray. Mr. and Mrs. Alvan Pectol and children. Boyd . Bowden and Glenn Tanner, former Myton residents, now residing at Klamath, Klam-ath, California, spent a week visiting with relatives in Myton and vicinity. They returned to California, Monday. j Anton Uresk returned last week from Helper, where he spent a few days visiting with his friends. He reports his mother moth-er is getting along nicely at the i Standardville hospital, where she is receiving treatments. , Max Robinson, who is attend-Lfnfi attend-Lfnfi the University of Utah, visited visit-ed with his parents last week, returning to Salt Lake City, Miss Anna Hunt accompanied him to enjoy a few days in Salt Lake. Mrs. Elton Quick and small son arrived last Wednesday from Salt Lake City to visit with, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emery Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Hamilton and family are now at home at the former Charles Woods house, which they recently pur chased. They nave resiaea on the Quid farm cast of town the past few years. Frank Gorishek and daughter, Mrs Dan Uresk and small f-on came from Schofield, Thursday, to visit at the Matt Uresk ranch. Mrs. Uresk and son remained while her father returned home after a short visit. John L. Johnson, who has been visiting at the home of his bi other in Preston, Idaho, returned re-turned home, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Hadden, of Ft. Collins, Colorado, were week end visitors at the home of Mr. Haddcn's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Hadden. Mr. and Mrs. Roland Krebs, of Salt Lake City, were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. R. Harris. They came to be present at the American Legion birthday birth-day anniversary party. Roy Schonian, of Salt Lake City, and a former resident of Duchesne, visited with Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish Saturday when returning from Roosevelt where he attended the funeral of Joseph Moysh. The small son of Mr. and Mrs. Frances Ross underwent an operation op-eration at the Roosevelt hospital last week. He is reported getting get-ting along nicely. Mr. and Mrs. George Roth and daughter, Betty, of Vernal, were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Koehler, Sunday. Mrs. Syerl Dennis went to Heber, Friday, to get her husband, hus-band, who recently underwent an operation at the Heber hospital. hos-pital. Mr. Dennis is getting along nicely and is now convalescing at home.
