Show Notice A Republican County Conven tion is hereby called to convene in the Duchesne County court house, Duchesne, Utah, May 4, 1946 at 2.00 p.m. The purpose of the convention is to elect a County Chairman, a County Chairwoman, a Secretary-Treasurer and a County Committee. Also to elect delegates dele-gates to the State Republican Convention to be held later and to conduct any business that may properly come before the convention. con-vention. Apportionment of delegates to the convention will be based on one delegate from each precinct for each 25 votes or major fraction frac-tion thereof cast for the Hon. B. H. Stringham in the election held in 1944. On this basis each precinct will in mass meetings assembled to be held Monday evening April 29, elect the following fol-lowing number of delegates: Al-tonah, Al-tonah, 3; Arcadia, 2; Bluebell, 2; Bridgeland, 1; Boneta, 2; Duchesne, Du-chesne, 7; Fruitland, 1; Hanna, 2; Ioka, 1; Mt. Emmons, 2; Mont-wcl. Mont-wcl. 1; My ton, 4; Mt. Home, 1; Neola, 2; Roosevelt, 13; Strawberry, Straw-berry, 1; Tabiona, 3; Talmage, 1; Upalco, 1; Utahn, 1. E. A. Call, Secy. (Sgd.) Heber T. In addition ad-dition to her children and their families, her father, William Os-born Os-born of Duchesne, and sister, Mrs. Ida Roberts of Evanston, Wyoming, were present. Governor Maw was a visitor at Altamont last Thursday. Everyone Every-one enjoyed his talk. Hyrum Smith and son, Nile, were in Roosevelt Friday on business. bus-iness. A Three act play "A Stranger Passes" was presented by the Moon Lake Stake M I A at Altamont Al-tamont April 18th. Those taking part In the play were, Mrs. Rosa-bell Rosa-bell Ames, Miss Zella Rust, Miss Dean Case, Miss Alberta Perkins, Bernard Winkler of Bluebell, Marlin Barrett and Dave Carroll Car-roll of Altonah, George Menden-hall, Menden-hall, Bcrniece Carroll and Hugo Mitchell of Upalco. An extra large crowd was in attendance, and everyone enjoyed it very much. |
