Show NOTED CITIZEN PASSES AWAY I 1 K wright folmer senator ard pioneer implement dealer succumbs to paralysis I 1 K wright one of the prominent citizens of bouthern utah succumbed to parale paralysis sis wednesday coining moi ning after a protracted illness until he was stricken with the ailment which resulted in hi death mr wright was a as one of the most active men in the business life of this section of the state he was a roan man who united sound sense with mith strong convictions conict ions ani a candid outspoken temper eminently fitted him to mould the elements clements of early society into form and consistency and aid in raising a high standard of citizenship in our young and growing state how much this community owes him and such as he it is impossible to estimate though it would be a grateful task to trace his influence through some of the more direct channels and review his life as a public official a husband father neighbor friend but it does not come emithm the scope of this article to touch upon his many excellent qualities mr wright was born at springfield ohio on sept 29 1848 he immigrated to utah with his parents in 1856 and came to sevier county in 1874 during the same year he be was married to miss henrietta wall who stood by him through all aji the vicissitudes audes tudes of the stars tara of his life he served as probate judge for six years during president cleve clee lands he was afterwards elected senator from the tenth senatorial district dis trint and served in that capacity Lapa city for a term of four fourbears years mr wright was wab the pioneer ample ment man in southwestern utah immediately after his arrival in sevier county he established an implement house in connection with anith his blacksmith shop in this city from 1887 to 1889 he served on a mission for the litter day saints chur church h in northern new newyork york while serving as a member of the utah legislature he sustained a stroke of paralysis from which he be did notre coer the deceased is su sur rived ived by a widow NN id four sons and four daughters all of whom live in this city a mother aged 93 jears cars who nho resides in salt lake city five brothers and t two to o sisters the funeral services will I 1 be b held at tile the family residence beginning at 2 friday afternoon |
