A few irrigated farms where the water is scarce and the farms are only a few acres in size, will continue to raise wheat without curtailment. In order that the whole state might benefit by the wheat allotment plan, the 2!) counies were organized into 11 districts. This arrangement gives each wheat farmer in the state the privilege of benefiting under the plan. Nine emergency agents were appointed to help with the work and they, together with the regular agents, will complete the work outlined in the plan. Applications for contracts have been made available to every wheat farmer. In some of the counties the permanent organizations have been effected and from 80 to 90 percent of the growers have signed up. Some of the counties have just finished sign ing contracts and others are to the point' of listing for publication, a description of the lands and productions for the base period. The work will be completed within the specified time, Director Peterson predicts. Wheat farmers are taking to the plan and they are expressing a real loyalty in doing their part to put into effect the emergency act. 1 CIRCULAR EXPLAINS VEGETABLE SHORTAGE Mr. and Mrs. Heber C.
