Show Bang Goes Christmas and Bedecking the Halls Played Fri and Sat Wrestlers Traveled to Invitational Norris, Camille Hadley, Debbie BANG GOES CHRISTMAS4 by Ruth Smith by Ruth Smith The South Rich wrestlers traveled to Evanston last Friday and Saturday to participate in the Evanston Invitational Tournament. There were nine teams from three states participating. From Wyoming there was host Evanston and Mountain View, Jackson and Star Valley. Utah teams in the field were: North Summit, South Summit and Park City, in addition to South Rich. Skyline High The Christmas season began with a bang Thursday and Friday when the Community Players presented two Christmas plays at the South Rich Auditorium. The plot in the first play, Be Deckin the Halls, centered around named an accident prone teen-agArnold, played by Chad Peart. Chad did an outstanding job as he performed all the accidents that poor Intermission entertainment was performed by Vickie Argyle and Kevin Kearl. They sang some favorite Christmas songs. In the second division, grades fourth thru sixth, the program cover winners were first place, Tricia er School from Idaho Falls also participated. Two wrestlers of the South Rich' eight member team placed at the highly competitive tournament. Mike Jackson, wrestling in the 132 lb. weight division placed fourth in the varsity. Mike Hopkin wrestling in the 119 lb. weight division placed fourth in the junior varsity. Flint Telford won three matches and Shane Eastman won one match. The wrestling team, coached by Jim and Bill Cox, has four seniors this year, Flint Telford, Lee Jones, David Hopkin and Mike Jackson. One junior, David Hoffman, and three sophomores, Mike Hopkin, Alan Hackford and Shane Eastman complete the team.
