Show SEPTEMBER 15, 1987 L. Dominate playing time Darts maintain ball control; easily defeat Falcons, By KEITH DUNCAN KAYSVILLE didnt have it, Clearfield just in the literal sense of the word, last Friday night here. In order to win in football, you've got to take possession for a good share of the time. But that just wasnt the case for the Falcons who ran off only 13 offensive plays in the first half and a grand total of 33 for the game. Meanwhile, Davis tried 75 offensive plays which was enough to help them to a victory. The win was Davis first of the season in three tries. Clearfield suffered its first setback with the loss. Both teams head in different directions this Friday as league seasons start for both. Davis will be traveling to meet East in an afternoon affair in Salt Lake City, the game starts at 5 p.m. Clearfield will open their Region One schedule at home with homecoming surroundings as Box Elder visits town at 7:30 p.m. Davis Jim Dickson was much more content with the way his kids played on Friday night, saying, They attacked the line of scrimmage a lot better. We got off the ball fairly well and even though we were blocking our own people at times , at least we were blocking, said Dickson. The Darts took the opening kickoff and passed their way, yes, passed their way downfield where Mike Williams could get close enough to nail a 45 yard field goal to early lead. give his team a Senior Derek Korth went three for three in that opening drive, teaming up with Brian Olson on two of the passes and a total of 43 yards to boot.
