LAVELL GRIFFIN Provo Man Dies in Hospital Ralph LaVell Griffin, 68, 878 E.Center, Provo,died Friday at Utah Valley Hospital. Born Aug. 26, 1902 in Logan, the son of Julian Perkins and Emma K. RainyGriffin, he married Hilma Olson, Sept. 4, 1923 in Preston, Ida. Mr. Griffin received his education in Logan schools. He worked for his father in a blacksmith shop. After being married, he and his wife made their first home in Logan. He was employed by Logan Fire Department and employed by the state government as a fireman at Camp Williams for four years. He moved to American Fork where he was a painter at Geneva Works and at the state hospital in Provo. In 1952, he moved to Provo, * he painted commercially until his retirementin 1965.
