Show "The County Fair," Everything in the production here will be entirely new and will duplicate the New York production, and some surprises are procaiaid in the way of effects and sonery. The barn scene, with its thoroughbred horses and Jersey cows amidst the Iraerauce of new-mown new-mown hay, over nhich the people of Gotham have rayed so long, will receive an exact reproduction, and"The County Fair," from its environment and ruBti-city, ruBti-city, will reyive cheery scenes, lovable people and homespun ways. Abigial Prue, the heroine, who makes delightful delight-ful butter and also niakeB love to the shy Otis, and whose girlishness and old maidish ways cause heartiest laughter, will no doubt be as attractive to Provo-ans Provo-ans as to New Yorkers. In fine, "The County Fair." quite vies with the most careful productions ot the day. There are admirable views of rural quietude, softness and harmotry in woods, treeB, brooks and blue skies, in gorgeous sunsets, sun-sets, tints and arcadian loveliness generally, and there are many deft touches of New England character and honesty in the action of the characters. The linal scene, depicting the horse race, i3 said to be one of the most stirring stir-ring pieces of stage realism and ingenuity in-genuity ever seen iiCiria' country, and it must be seep toja appreciated, for it is to all intent gad purposes the start and finish oa race, which the auditor sees intact, -with galloping steed, whipping jockey, and all the bustling incidents of the track. |
