Dan Gull of Chico State won the 50yard freestyle to be Chico's only individual winner. Spinks used a big overhand right to knock out Alfredo Evangelista in the fifth round Saturday and pave the way for another shot to regain the world heavyweighttitle. A Evangelista, 32-5-2, had Spinks in trouble in the second roundof the scheduled 10-round bout buttired and fell from Spinks’ crushing blow at 2:43 of the fifth round, with referee Vinny Rainone counting him out in Spanish.
