Workman, district Boyd board finance chairman, told the board the State Tax Commission ordered the district to reopen its budget for the increase. The money will be placed in the contingency fund, increasing the fiscal budget to $73,800,541. The district had estimated property tax collections from the 10 counties within the district at $19,291,177. Tax commission estimates set the figure at $19,431,841. CUWCD receives other revenues from the federal government for Central Utah Project facilities, from interest on bonds and from other fees. According to the tax commission, growth in certain counties V'ould yield n: re property taxes. The counties listed by the commission are Duchesne, Garfield, Salt Lake, Summit and Wasatch. Despite predictions of growth within the other counties, the commission listed reductions for Juab, Piute, Sanpete, Uintah and Utah counties.
