Mrs. Robinson returned re-turned to Salt Lake with them for a few days visit. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Reece of Provo have moved to American Fork and made their home in the Robert Wagstaff home. Mr. Reece is employed at the local Dixon-Taylor-Russell company. , Lee Hand, four-year -old son of Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Hand of Draper, Drap-er, was badly chewed about the head, arms and right leg Monday when two dogs attacked him. Mrs. Hand was formerly Miss Zella Zabriskie of this City, and with her son have many friends who are hoping for a speedy recovery from the wounds received. Niles and Sherman Wing attended a luncheon-meeting of the B. Y. TJ. The B class Book of Mormon department de-partment of the Fourth ward Sunday Sun-day School held a get acquainted party Wednesday night at the home of Mrs. Bert Timpson. The class leaders are Mrs. Timpson and Thomas Tho-mas Hansen. The 25 members present pres-ent played progressive games after which hot chilli was served. The party was planned by the class officers offi-cers Zola Grant and William Dur-rant. Dur-rant. Mrs. R. C. Booth returned Sunday from a seven weeks' trip to Califor-! nia. Mrs. Booth accompanied her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Stults and they visited at Boulder dam while enroute to the coast. After visiting in Long Beach, Mrs. Booth' visited her daughter, Irma, in Los Angeles, her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Carey in San Francisco, and with relatives in San Jose, Oakland and Sacramento. Altogether it was a very enjoyable trip. A Valentine dancing party is being be-ing planned for Tuesday, February 11th, by the activity committee of the Second ward Mutual Improvement Improve-ment Association. The dance will be held in Firmage Hall, which will be decorated in seasonal colors. A good orchestra will play and an invitation in-vitation is extended to all Mutual members to attend. Miller has been returned re-turned to her home from the Lehi hospital where she received treatment treat-ment for a broken hip which occurred occur-red two weeks ago. Her condition is reported improving. The ladies of the G. A. club were the guests of Mrs. Mary Konold Wednesday evening. The time was spent hearing a lecture on Beauty Culture by Rhoda Nelson and Mrs. Lafleur demonstrated beauty culture. A dainty luncheon was served by Mrs. Konold. Mrs. Alice Marcroft and son of Billings, Montana, left Monday for their home after visiting for the past month with her step-father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Miller. Mrs. Marcroft will return in about two weeks to aid in the care of her mother, who is confined to her bed with a broken hip. The members- of the fire department depart-ment and their wives enjoyed a social at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter B. Devey on Tuesday evening of this week. The evening was spent playing Monte Carlo Whist at which Stanford Wilde won the high score prize and I. L. Pratt the consolation - prize. Those present were, Messrs and Mesdames I. L. Pratt, Weston Pratt, Tom Briggs, Glen Chadwick, Raymond Jacklin, Stanford Wilde, Gilbert Shumway and Leo Varney. Mr. David A. Losee of Lehi was a dinner guest Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. T. A. Greenwood. Monday was Mr. Losee's 86th birthday birth-day anniversary. Penney store, attended a convention con-vention of the store managers of Salt Lake City and southern Utah held Thursday at the Hotel Roberts in Provo. The buying of spring merchandise was discussed, also plans for the anniversary sale that takes place during the month of April |
