On Monday students viewed a safety film on bicycle safety. On Tuesday students were encouraged to bring their bicycles to school. Officer Wright of the Lindon Police Department and PTA volunteers helped inspect about 250 bicycles during the day. Students were advised if their bicycles needed to be altered to improve safety. After they passed inspection students rode their bicycles through an obstacle course. According to Stephanie Clayton, PTA Board Member in charge of Safety, children were excited to bring their bicycles to school and to have them inspected. Students were able to tell their parents those things to do to make their bicycles more safe and became more aware themselves of bicycle safety rules.
