Ending in second place were Kawai Goodman (112) and Justin Jacob (160). Coming in third were Mickey Mick-ey Ottonelli (145) and West-in West-in Sampson (171). Gehrhart Vuksinik (130), Ted Owens (189) and Chris Clegg (275) all earned fifth, and Kolby Hilton (160) was sixth. Goodman defeated an Olympus opponent by fall and survived for an 8-6 overtime win against Box Elder in the quarterfinals. He pinned Mountain Crest in the semifinals but was dominated by Spanish Fork's Dave Beagley in the title match and lost by technical tech-nical fall. At the Western States Meet, the Viking 4X800 relay team won the Ice Oval Triple Crown in a school record of 10:10.65, breaking the record they set just two weeks prior at the Indoor State Meet. Amber Gleasan, Tawny Parks, Kaylee McEwan and Camillia Frenzel won all three Olympic Ice Oval prep 4X800-meter events this indoor season to earn the honor. The final race for the crown came down to a close sprint finish between Viking anchor runner Frenzel Fren-zel and the Timpview High School team, with Pleasant Grove winning by less than a second. The Thunderbirds are the only team to beat the Vikings this year in this event, having a narrow win over them earlier in the month at the Bob Ras-mussen Ras-mussen Relays. Also finishing second were the girls' 4X100-metcr team (52.56 seconds) with Callie Bentley, McEwan, Erin Tueller and Glcason, and the 4X400-mcter team (4:11.11) with Gleason, McEwan, Bentley and Janae McKay.
