Show Funeral Rites for Theron Harris Held Saturday Impresssive funeral rites were conducted Saturday in the Lin-don Lin-don Second Ward for Theron Harris, 55, who died in an American Am-erican Fork Hospital following a stroke suffered at his home. The service beg-an at 1 p.m. with Bishop Kenneth H. Gillman conducting. Invocation was offered of-fered by Max Edwards and was followed by a vocal duet "In God's Garden" by Ellsn' Peterson and Donna Johnson. They were accompanied by Lorraine Ruffell who also played prelude and post-lude post-lude organ music. Speakers who paid tribute to the departed and his family and spoke . words of encouragement and faith to those left behind were Bishop Leon Walker, Stanley Stan-ley Harris and Harold Barnes. Musical number given was a vocal vo-cal duet "Beautiful Isle" by Audrey Aud-rey Hooley and Charles Rdefoack, accompanied by Mrs. Ruffell. After closing remarks by Bishop Bish-op Gillman, Patricia Seely and Jean Walker sang the final number, num-ber, "I'll Walk with God." They were accompanied by Beverly Christeson. . Prior to the church sen-vice, prayer at the mortuary was offered of-fered by Willis Lai-sen. Benediction Benedic-tion was pronounced by Alma Walser. Interment, directed by Olpin-Sundberg Olpin-Sundberg Mortuary, was made in the Orem City Cemetery where Ruben Tomlinson offered the ded- . icatorial prayer. Pallbearers were Lon Hooley, Don Aston, Arvil Bird, Ralph Blanchard, Wesley Swenson and Joseph Swenson. Flowers were cared for and arranged by the Lindon Second Ward Relief Society. So-ciety. Mr. Hooley was bom June 12, 1904 in Lindon to Albert and Sarah J. Herbst Harris. He married mar-ried Edna Turnbeaugh April 23, 1951 in Lindon and the marriage was late solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a farmer and fruit miser and an active member of the LDS Church. Survivors include his widow, stepdaughter and stepson, Mrs. Alene Adams, Theo Pendleton, both of St. George; five grandchildren; grand-children; two sisters, three brothers. |
