Show FORMER PLEASANT GROVE RESIDENT BURIED HERE Mrs. Charlotte Jeffs Simpson, 82, formerly of this city was buried here j Wednesday after the funeral ser-I ser-I vices had been held in Salt Lake iCity. Mrs. Jeffs was born in Oxfordshire. Oxford-shire. England, February 1, 1853. The family came to Utah in early ' days and Charlotte came to Pleas-j&nt Pleas-j&nt Grove the bride of Henry Simpson. Simp-son. Their home and blacksmiUi I shop was located east of the old mercantile store on the present high school campus. Later they moved to the Third ward where they made their permanant home. The property is now owned by Benji-m?.n Benji-m?.n Holman. Mr. Simpson has been dead for many years. Mrs. Simpson has reared a large family. She has been active in Relief Society work, and also did temple work for a number of years. She died Saturday, June 3, at the home of her son, Arnold, in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Simpson was a lover of music mus-ic and by request of relatives the Misses Melba and Avis Fugal sang "Nearer My God To Thee". Albert Olson was in charge and the grave was dedicated by W. W. Lim of the Third ward bishopric. |
