Show Funeral Rites Held Monday for Verl Zabriskie Funeral services in memory of Veil Zabriskie were held Monday, March 3 at 11 a.m. in the Grove Ward-Chapel under the direction of M. Keith Bezzant. Mr. Zabriskie died last Wednesday of pneumonia in the American Fork Hospital. Speakers at the funeral were . Oscar W. Evans and Bishop E. Mack Palmer. Bishop Bezzant also gave remarks. Musical numbers were given by Vivian Long, whb sang a vocal solo, "Eternal Life" and by Lora Johnson and Nicole Griffith, who sang a vocal duet accompanied by Rosa Mae Gurr. Prayers were given by Hugh Chestnut, George B. Farnworth and Lloyd Armitstead, and the grave in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery was dedicated by Jack Cludas. Pallbearers were members of the Grove Ward High Priests Group, Harold S. Walker, Gene Tomlinson, Melvin Lemon, Harold Armitstead, Les Brady and Bill Gardner. Mr. Zabriske was born Feb. 7, 1899 in Kingston, Piute County, a son of Horace E. and Adelia Snow Zabriskie. He married Mary Farnworth on Aug. 15, 1928 in Richfield and-the and-the marriage was solemnized later in the Manti LDS Temple. Mr. Zabriskie was a fruit farmer. He was a high priest in the LDS Church. Survivors include his widow and one daughter, Maurine Zabriskie, Pleasant Grove and one sister, Mrs. Moroni (Mildred) Sanders, LaVerkin, Washington County, |
