Show PARENTS ANNOUNCE MARRIAGE OF THEIR DAUGHTER ON JUNE 10 A bride , of June will be Miss Geraldine Macfarlane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. ivi. Maclcirlane when she recites vows with Lt. Fred W. Wiemer, son o'f Mrs. Meta Wiemer of Santa Ana, California, on June 10, in Oakland, California. Both Miss Macfarlane and her fiance are graduates of the Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University where they were prominent? in social and school activities. While attending the B. Y. U. Geraldine was a member mem-ber of the Cesta Tie Social unit, Mask club and French club. She also was active irfc dramatics. Lt Wiemer was prominent in athletics, ath-letics, having won his letter for three years in -tennis, track, and Basketball. He was a member of the Bricker Social' unit. He later rece-ceived rece-ceived his M. A. degree from the University of Illinois. Prior to entering the army he was employed by the Goodyear Tire company in Los Angeles. Miss Macfarlane taught school in Ogden for one year and for the past four years has been employed at the Ogden Arsnal. They will make their home in Hayward, California, where Lt. Wiemer is stationed. Mrs. J. M .Macfarlane entertained entertain-ed at a shower in honor o'f Geraldine Gerald-ine Friday evening. The rooms were attracively decorated with pink peonies. Those presen were Louise Heidenreich, Mary Price, Thelma Swenson, Wilma Myers, Helen Dur-ran, Dur-ran, Helen Radmall, Mariam West, Betty West, Marilyn Wright, Lola Jensen, and Carol Clark. Progressive Progress-ive games were played. Prizes were won by Louise Heidenreich, Helen Radmall and Lola Jensen. A tasty luncheon was served at small tables. |
