Show Newlyweds Return from Honeymoon; Reception Held Friday, September 11 Newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Jan H. Nelson, returned from a delightful de-lightful honeymoon trip to Jackson Jack-son Hole and Yellowstone Park, recently. Their marriage was solemnized Sept. 11 in the Manti Temple. Elder Bent W. Peterson, Temple President, officiated. Besides their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Howard Nelson and Mr. and Mrs. Glen S. Shields, they were accompanied to Manti by Mr and Mrs. Isaac S. Walters of Tooele, and Jay, Val, and Shauna Jo Shields of Pleasant Grwe. The bridegrooms parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson, were hosts at a wedding breakfast following the ceremony. For the reception held Friday evening, in the First-Fifth Ward the bride was lovely in a gown of chantilly lace and tulle underscored under-scored with satin, featuring fitted bodice and sleeves tapering to points over the wrists. A tiara of pearls released her fingertip veil of sheerest illusion. She earned a bouquet of talisman rosebuds and stephanotis surrounding a white orchid. Gowned in autumn shades of crystallette were her attendants, Miss Donna Larson, maid of honor, hon-or, Miss Judy Nelson, Miss Joye Nelson, bridesmaids. Flower girls were Shauna Jo Shields, Jewel Gaye Nelson, and Janis LaR.ee Nelson who wore identical dresses dress-es of lime green crystallette over ov-er taffeta. They carried nosegays of .matching fall flowers. Jay Shields was best man. Mrs. Shields wore a beige lace dress for her daughter's reception recep-tion and Mrs. Nelson chose a model of dark green for the event Jerry Nelson and Val Shields were ushers. Aunts of the bride, Mrs. Isaac Walters and Mrs. Ray Walters assisted by Mrs. Dean Phillip3 were in charge of the 'gif t tables. RaNae Rawlinson and Kathleen Fugal were gift bearers. Miss Carol Pulley took care of the guest book. Pour of the bride's cousins, Miss Kathleen Shields, Miss Suzanne Su-zanne Shields, Miss Dona Marie Walters and Miss Vicky Lynne Walters served. The justweds are at home to their friends at 280 B Street, Salt Lake City, where they will continue con-tinue their schooling. |
