Show Former Resident Dies In Salt Lake City Funeral services for Alvin Carlson, former Pleasant Grove resident, were held in Salt Lake City on Monday afternoon, with burial taking place in the Pleasant Grove city cemetery. Mr. Carlson was born in Pleasant Grove September 16, 1883, to Isaac and Mary Anderson Carlson, sturdy pioneers of this community. He received his education in the schools of this city and on October Octo-ber 2, 1907, married Jane Smith in the Salt Lake L D S temple, and moved to Salt Lake City where they have since made their home, and where Mr. Carlson has been engaged as a heating and plumbing plumb-ing contractor. He was an active church worker, work-er, being a member of the quorum of sevenaty of the Springview ward. Mr. Carlson died on June 12 of a heart ailment at a Salt Lake hospital. Left to mourn his loss are his wife and the following children: Kenneth A., Gordon S., and Robert D. Carlson of Salt Lake City, and Harold E. Carlson of San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Ruth Owen and Mrs. Genevieve Wiggenton of Salt Lake City and Miss Jean Quist of Holla-day; Holla-day; nine grandchildren, two brothers, , Hyrum Carlson of Charleston and Ray Carlson of Albion, Idaho. |
