Show Community Pays Final Respects To Mrs. Brown Funeral services for Mrs. James Brown, who passed away here May 13th, were held in the Third ward chapel Sunday afternoon with Bishop Bish-op Frank Shelley in charge. The opening song was sung by the Relief Re-lief Society trio, composed of Mrs. Edna Boley, Mrs. LaDocia Wagstaff and Mrs. Clara Rhodes. Eli J. Clay-son Clay-son offered the invocation after which Mrs. Mary E. Abel read a sketch of the life of Mrs. Brown. Jesse M. Walker and George F. Shelley were the speakers. Both paid high tribute to the sterling character of Mrs. Brown. The trio j sang, "My Mother's Love" and Mrs. Clifford E. Young sang the closing song. Benediction was offered of-fered by George E. Abel. Interment was made in the city cemetery, where the grave was dedicated by Bishop Frank Shelley. |
