Show U Services Conducted Con-ducted for John Anderson Last respects were paid John Anderson An-derson by the people of this community com-munity Saturday afternoon at services ser-vices held in the Second ward chapel. chap-el. Bishop Joseph Storrs was in charge. The opening song, "Oh My Father" was sung by a double mixed quartet composed of the following members: Mrs. Vern Walker, Mrs. C. E. Young, Mrs. Hans Christensen, Mrs. West Hammond, Kenneth Rob-. inson, Harold Chipman, Glen Taylor Tay-lor and Claire Christensen. President Wilford Warnick of the Timpanogos stake offered the invo-caton. invo-caton. Speakers for the occasion were William Chipman, Stephen L. Chipman and President Clifford E. Young. All spoke highly of Mr. Anderson. An-derson. Tribute was paid him on his fine characteristics, his habit of keeping his word, his neighborliness and his ability as a good worker. He had been employed by the Chip-man Chip-man Mercantile for over fifteen years. A violin solo, "Perfect Day" was played by Miss Maxine Taylor, accompanied ac-companied by Miss Lydia Olson. Bishop Storrs made a few closing remarks and the mixed quartet sang "Though Deepening Trials." The benediction was offered by Bishop Lot Robinson. Interment was made in the city cemetery, where the grave was dedicated ded-icated by Leonard S. Harrington., In respect to a former employee of the company, Chipman Mercantile Mercan-tile closed during the services and all of the employees of the store were in attendance at the services. The members of the stake high priests quorum, to which organization organiza-tion Mr. Anderson belonged, were also present in a body. |
