Show Young Mother Dies In Hospital Mrs. Florence Dunn Jensen, 42, died Monday in the L. D. S. hospital in Bait Lake City, after a three weeks' illness from infection, which developed into blood poison. She was born in American Fork, March 23, 1893, the daughter of William B. and Agness Kelly Dunn. Mrs. Jensen attended school here, graduating from the local high school in 1912, later attending the Brigham Young university. She taught music here until 1914 when she moved to Logan to live with her sister, Mrs. A. M. Smith. She was married to Niels Jensen February 7, 1917, in the Logan temple. Since that time the family have lived in Twin Falls, Idaho; Onterio, Oregon; Lewis-ton Lewis-ton and Logan, Utah, moving to American Fork six years ago. Throughout her life she has been a faithful Latter-day Saint, having worked in the Primary organization as a class leader and organist. Her loving disposition and gentle ways has won a place in the hearts of all those who knew her. Surviving are her husband, Niels Jensen, one son, Phil, and the daughter Agnes; a brother J. W. Dunn, Logan, and two sisters, Mrs. A. M. Smith, Logan, and Mrs. J. W. Blnnall, American Fork. Funeral services were held Thursday Thurs-day afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Alpine Stake Tabernacle, Bishop Lot Robinson in charge. Prior to the services the body was viewed at the family residence. Muse and spoken thoughts marked the solemn ceremony that expressed the sadness of a communty and reflected re-flected the esteem felt for the one passed away. Muscal numbers were given by the High school string ensemble en-semble accompanied by Miss Helen Devey, "Oh Dry Those Tears"; Ru-lon Ru-lon Nicholes sang "Link Divine", ac-accompanied ac-accompanied on the piano by Mary Humphries and on the violins by Milton Brown and Farren Sager; Miss Mildred Chipman sang "Sweet Mystery of Life," accompanied by Lydia Olsen and the closing number was by K. J. Bird, singing "Christian's "Chris-tian's Goodnight." Speakers were President Clifford E. Young, Counselor Earl S. Greenwood, Green-wood, Stanley Peters and closing remarks re-marks by Bishop Robinson. The invocation in-vocation was offered by Henry E. McNiel and the benediction was pronounced pro-nounced by Daniel H. Jorgensen. The many mourning friends and associates of Mrs. Jensen and the Jensen family, and floral offerings in profusion, marked the loss felt by this community. Interment was made in the American Amer-ican Fork city cemetery where the grave was dedicated by Bishop O. F. Rice of Logan. o |
