Show Injuries Fatal To Truck Driver In Terrific Crash Joseph Nielson Dies At Vernal Hospital After Accident Near Koosevclt In a terrific automobile collision which killed one other and Injured eic.ht, Joseph Nielson, 41, of American Ameri-can Fork was fatally injured on U. ,S. highway 40 near Roosevelt Saturday Satur-day mldnir.ht. Mr. Nielson died In the Vernal hospital nt 8:30 a. m. .Sunday, after having been transferred from the Roosevelt hospital. Clyde Davis, about 30 of Hell, California, driver of the other car, was killed. The accident occurred a mile west of Roosevelt when the westbound car struck the truck, driven by Nielson, Niel-son, In an almost head-on crash. Mr. Nielson and his brother, Clarence Nielson of Pleasant Grove, and Mrs., Emily M. Wilkerson were en route to Roosevelt. Most seriously Injured survivor in the other car was Mrs. Pearl Mc-Clulre, Mc-Clulre, 22, of Denver, Colorado. She suffered compound fractures of both legs and possible internal Injuries. The car driven by Davis was owned by Wendell J. Matthews of Los Angeles, and the occupants were passengers en route to the Coast. Jo.'eph Nielson was born July 13, 1K'j7. at Pleasant drove, a son of Lars and Frances Nielson. He lived with his family at Pleasant Grove nnd In Idaho. He had resided in American Fork for the past four years. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Di ana Orwln of Provo, and Frances, I Bessie, Bonnie. Leslie. Max.
