Show v Final Resoects Paid Mrs. Mary B. Hatch Funeral services were conducted i Monday in Panguitch for Mrs. Mary j H. Hatch, mother of Mrs. A. D. McAllister Mc-Allister of this city. Mrs. Hatch died Saturday evening following a lingering illness. All of her children were with her at the time of her death. Born June 6. 1858. at Pontown, now known as Salem, she w-as a daughter of James and Margaret Crowford Houston. She knew all the hardships of true pioneer life, her family having moved to Pontown Pon-town during the ' time Johnston's army were in the state . Shortly after they moved back to Salt Lake where the family was called to go to St. George to assist in the introduction intro-duction of the cotton raising in Dixie. Mrs. Hatch has lived in St. George and Panguitch ever since. She was an active member of the L. D. S. church, serving as first counselor in the original organization organiza-tion of the Mutual in Panguitch and a ' Relief Society teacher for many years. She also served on the Relief Society stake board. Surviving are her husband, Ira W. Hatch; five daughters and three sons: Mrs. Margaret H. Haycock, S'alt Lake City; Mrs. Elizabeth D. McAllister, American Fork; Mrs. Amy O. Reynolds, Mapleton; Mrs. Mary Dentster Davis, Mrs. Algia Myers, James L. Hatch, Meltair V. Hatch and Houston Hatch, all of Panguitch; 37 grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive. |
