Show : Obituaries Gloria D. Baum Dallas Dale Marrott Dallas Dale Marrott, infant son of Dale R. and Wendy Groo Marrott Mar-rott died Dec. 8, 1989 of prematurity. He was born Dec. 8, 1989. He is survived by his narents. Pleasant Grove, one sister, Katy Miranda Marrott, Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove; Grandparents, Grandpar-ents, Tom and Lorraine Marrott; Orem and Dalla R. and Janice Groo, Lin don. Great grandparents: Stewart and Susan Elwell, American Fork and Earl an d Nellie Groo, Provo. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Dec. 16, 1989 at 1 p.m. Burial in Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. r " i .. -- $ LJ ; Gloria Davis Baum, 69, our beloved mother, grandmother and I friend, passed away ; Monday, Dec. 11, 1989 of ; causes incident to age and ashthma. '. She was born Oct. 1, 1 1920 in Lakeview, Utah, ; to Lynn and Eva May Harding Davis. Gloria was raised by her '. grandparents, Ernest ; and Lily May Harding, in Provo. She married Orvil Wallace Baum in Pleasant View, Utah on Sept. 13, 1938. He died Feb. 23, 1987. Gloria will always be ; remembered for her great patience and her children: Larry D. Baum, Lehi; Linda B. Jorgensen, Hardy Baum and Kevin Baum, all of American Fork; Dennis Baum, Pleasant Grove. She was especially proud of her 26 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 14, 1989 at 2 p.m. in the Wing Mortuary Chapel, 118 E. Main, Lehi, where friends may call Thursday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. prior to services. Internment In-ternment will be in the Lehi City Cemetery. Danny Garlick perseverance. She loved animals, especially her two poodles. She loved to crochet and was an avid reader. Gloria is survived by Danny Garlick, 30, a resident of the Utah State Training School, American Fork, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 1989. He was born June 15, 1959 in St. Louis, Mo., to William and - Henrietta Lowry Garlick. He was 9 member of the LDS Church. Survivors include his parents, West Valley City; two sisters and two brothers: Cathy, Cindy, Joseph Dale and Timothy; Timo-thy; grandparents: Harold and Ruth Monk, Spanish Fork. He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Lydia Monk. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 11, in the Utah State Training School Chapel under the direction of Anderson & Sons Mortuary. Mor-tuary. Burial was in the American Fork City Cemetery. Raeldon Kyle Goates v Raeldon Kyle Goates, 74, died Dec. 5, 1989, in Downey, Calif. He was born Nov. 22, ; 1915 in Lehi, to Char-; Char-; les Hyrum and Juliett Evans Goates. He mar- ried Clara Ellis. He attended Lehi High School and served ; as senior class presi- dent and received the Lions award for out- '. standing senior. He received an athletic ath-letic scholarship to USAC in Logan and graduated in 1938 after af-ter being awarded the ; Rocky Mountain ath-; ath-; letic award. He earned his masters in P.E. at the University of Oregon. Ore-gon. In 1941 he served as Superintendent of Parks and Recreation for the city of Ogden. ! He later served in the ; same capacity for the ; city of Inglewood, Calif. In 1958 he moved to Downey as general tro of Municipal Golf." He helped sponsor a golf instructors' clinic in Carmel, Calif, for the past 20 years, and he helped organize several golf tournaments for charity. He owned his own consulting firm and was a member of the Rio Hondo Country Club. He was a member of the LDS Church, residing resid-ing in the Downey 1st Ward. He is survived by his wife, Downey, Calif.; sons and daughters: John Lee Goates, Alaska; Susan Vinson, Ojai, Calif.; Donna Diosdado, Norwalk, Calif.; and Julie Ann Yates, Mission Viejo, Calif.; seven grandchildren. grandchil-dren. She was born Jan. 1, 1904 in Talmage, Neb., to Henry and Anna J. Peters Helm. She married mar-ried Warren A. Straughn April 9, 1928 in Nebraska City, Neb. He died Jan. 25, 1984. Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 12, in the Anderson Ander-son and Sons Mortuary. Burial was in the American Ameri-can Fork Cemetery. Myrtle A. Wilkins Myrtle J. Allred Wilkins, 97, died Monday, Dec. 11, 1989 in Orem of natural causes. She was born March 4, 1892 in Provo, a daughter of David Henry and Catherine D. Petty Jones. She married Aaron Allred on June l, 1922 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died in March 1962. She married Ernest Wilkins March 4, 1967 in the Mesa LDS Temple. He died in 1974. She received her education in the Provo City schools and BYU. She taught school for 10 years in the Provo City schools and was recognized for being an outstanding teacher. She received a medal from the U.S. Government, Govern-ment, made from a German Cannon, as a reward for her contribution con-tribution to the success of the "Victory Liberty Loan" during World' War I. Jones, Jay Petty Jones, both of Provo; Bryan Jones, Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 16, at 11 a.m. at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, Provo. Friends may call ' at the Berg Mortuary, 1.85 E. After her first marriage, she moved to Lehi where she was active in the Lehi 2nd Ward and served as stake Primary president and as a counselor in the Relief Society. She and her husband served a short term mission to California in 1925-26. She served for many years as an ordinance worker in the Los Angeles Temple and the . Mesa Temple.
