Marilyn Patch is the Ik-flections Commissioner on the PTa Council. She encourages all students throughout the community to enter en-ter the contest and submit their entry to their school. Every year a new theme is chosen cho-sen and students can enter the contest in four categories, literature, litera-ture, visual arts, photography and music. The Reflections Cultural arts program of the National Congress of Parents and Teachers encourages encour-ages students kindergarten through grade 12 to express their thoughts and feelings through creative arts. Reflections was developed to interest children, parents and the communities in the arts. The arts are an important part in every child's education. It is fun and helps develop de-velop self-esteem. Each school will choose winners and the PTA Council will also select se-lect winners to be entered in the Region Competition. Senior High students are encouratred to enter The National PTA offers three scholarships worth $750 each for seniors who participate in the visual vis-ual arts, music and literature categories. cate-gories.
