Show Funeral Services for Rolena A. Flanders Held Wednesday Pleasant Grove; Joe Ackerman, Junction, Utah and Mrs. Nettie Hoffman, Spanish Fork. Funeral services for Maggie Rolena Acker-man Acker-man Flanders, 79, who died in the American Fork Hospital on July 9, of leukemia, were held Wednesday, July 12, 1978 in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel at 11 a.m. Bishop LaRoss Brady of the Pleasant Grove 12th Ward conducted con-ducted the services. Speaker at the services ser-vices was Boyd Anderson, Ander-son, and Bishop Brady also gave remarks. A life sketch was given by Gloria D. Galloway. Muscial numbers were given by Jeanne Walker and Joanne Brady, accompanied by Sandra Walker and by Marti Calder and Jill Hadlock, accompanied by Carol Wilson. Prayers were offered by Donald Gurney, Kenneth Ken-neth Jakeman and Nelson Turner, and the grave in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery was dedicated by Kent Gurney. Pallbearers were Kent, Ron and Rick Gurney, Bob Phelps, Bud Hoffman and Boyd Ackerman. Maggie Rolena Ackerman Flanders was born Dec. 27, 1898 in Kingston, Piute County, to John and Nettie DeGroot Ackerman. She married Frederick Ralph Flanders, Flan-ders, June 12, 1923 in Junction, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Mr. Flanders died Nov. 10, 1965. Mrs. Flanders was an active member of the LDS Church, living in the Pleasant Grove "12th Ward. She had served as a Relief Society visiting teacher and was an active genealogical researcher. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Ireta) Gurney, pleasant Grove, 4 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers and 1 sister, Parley Ackerman, |
