Show Funeral Rites for Josie G. Walker Set for Thursday Jcsie Greenwood Walker, 87, died Monday, March 14, in the American Fork Hospital of natural na-tural causes. She was a former form-er resident of Pleasant Grove, and had lived in American Fork more recently until her death. Mrs. Walker was born Nov. 17, 1884, in American Fork to Benjamin Young and Sarah Jane Julian Greenwood. She married James H. Walker in the Salt Lake Temple on Aug. 25, 1925. He died Sept. 30, 1937. She taught in the Alpine School District most of her lifetime, life-time, and retired in 1954. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in numerous numer-ous organizations in Pleasant Grove and American Fork. Survivors include one son, Ben G. Walker, Pasadena, California, Cal-ifornia, 4 grandchildren; 5 stepsons step-sons and 5 stepdaughters also survive, Calvin Walker, Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove; Charles B. and Thomas A. Walker, both American Am-erican Fork; Leo R. Walker and Mrs. Orville (Muriel) L. Larson, both of Kaysville; Mrs. Leo A. (Emma) Munson, Og-den; Og-den; Mrs. Lewis F. (Roena) Walker and Mrs. LaMar (Edna) (Ed-na) Moyle, both of Magna; William Will-iam B. (Zola) Gogarty, Spring-ville; Spring-ville; LeGrande Walker, Reno, Nevada and J. H. Walker, Idaho Ida-ho Falls, Idaho. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. in the Am. Fork Sixth Ward. Friends may call at the Olpin Mortuary, PI. Grove, Wednesday, 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday at the church prior to services. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. |
