Show Funeral Services Are Held For Orson Pratt Lee Funeral services were conducted condu-cted on March 8, for Orson Pratt Lee, who died earlier in the week at his home here. The First ward chapel waa well filled with relatives and friends 1 who came to pay respects to the . memory of the departed and ex-' ex-' press sympathy for his family. With Bishop Ertman Christensen in charge the services began at 2 j p. m. The opening number "Link ' Devine," was sung by Ray E. j Shelley, accompanied by Mrs. Owen Humphries. Invocation was offered by Wm. Hadfield of Lehi. Speakers who paid tribute the memory of Mr. Lee and offered condolence and encouragement to his family were Ernest Webb and J. W. Gillman. Both told of the thrifty yet unassuming life of Mr. Lee, of his devotion to his family and to his work, and to any re-I re-I sponsibility which he assumed, j The speakers were interspersed by ! a vocal solo "Crossing The Bar" 1 by Warren P. Kirk, accompanied by Mrs. Kirk. After closing remarks of sympathy sym-pathy and appreciation by Bishop Ertman Christensen, Mr. Shelley sang the closing number "Going Home." Benediction was pronounced pronoun-ced by Gerald Belliston. Prelude and postlude organ music was played by Mrs. Warren P. Kirk. Interment diercted by Olpin Mortuary was made in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, where Horace Hadfield offered the dedicatorial prayer. The floral display was arranged by the ladies of the B. B. Club. Pallbearers included: B. Cobbley, Cob-bley, George L. Smith, H. E. Bradley, Brad-ley, J. Albert Page, Alma Kirk, and Herman Parduhn. |
