Show Alice Jacklin Day to be honored on 85th birthday "-'I J- 'illll :1 The family of Alice Jacklin Day are honoring her at an open house in celebration of her 85th birthday Sunday, May 25, at her home, 47 W. 200 North, American Fork. All friends and family are invited. The hosts will be her daughter and family, Brent and Susan Barlow of Orem, and her sister, Mary J. Gooch, Lehi. Alice was born May 18, 1901 in American Fork to John and Martha O'Neal Jacklin. When she was a baby the family moved to Shelley, Idaho. They spent two years there, then moved back to American Fork. Alice remained in American Fork until Sept. 5, 1939 when she married Cecil O. Day. They moved to San Luis Obispo, Calif., and lived for 29 years, her husband passed away March 2, 1968. She then moved to Lehi and then back to American Fork into her present home. She has one daughter, Mrs. Brent (Susan) Barlow; seven grandchildren. grand-children. Her brothers are Ernest Jacklin, American Fork; Charles B. Jacklin, Orem. Her sisters are Sara Roylance, Provo; Edith West, Pleasant Grove; and Mary Gooch, Lehi. She is well-known for her beautiful handwork. Many are the people who have received something she has made for a gift. Alice J. Day |
