Show Chamber of Commerce Selects February 8 for Banquet Date The evening of Saturday, Feb. 8 has been selected as the date for the annual Chamber of Commerce Membership banquet, according to Vaughn Barnett, president. Time for serving the traditional Swiss Steak dinner at the Timpanogos Stake House is 7:30 p.m. The dinner din-ner will be served by the Fifth Ward Relief Society, according to Dave Green and Calvin Mills. Featured on the program, which will follow the dinner, will be a variety program with musical numbers predominating, the reading read-ing of the financial import by the Secretary-Treasurer Clair Roun-dy Roun-dy and the election of six new members to the board of directors. Also featured will be the awarding award-ing of the customary "Life Membership" Mem-bership" by the Chamber of Com merce to an outstanding citizen and the designation of the "Young Man of the Year" by the local Jaycees. The drive for the 1958 membership member-ship is currently going forward and is very successful, according to Mr. Barnett. Prospective members are being solicited by all the present pres-ent members of the Board of Directors. Dir-ectors. Persons who are not contacted con-tacted are urged to contact any of the following: Max Ferre, Orvil Wadley, Dave Green, Paul Ford-ham, Ford-ham, Calvin Mills, O. L. Swenson, Leland W. Swenson, Grant Atwood, Mr. Roundy or Mr. Barnett. Special guests at the banquet will be members of any championship champion-ship Pleasant Grove organizations who have been awarded honors during 1957. |
