Show p Spring Lako Evonts Hut 40-33- 5 Mr. Ray Huish and sister, Miss Lenora Huish, received word recently that their neices son and wife, Alan and Pat Carliw. and children who are residing in Washing! ton state recently made a trip by car to Salt Lake City. They came to attend a session in the Salt Lake Temple to have their marriage solemnized in the temple. Mr. Carling is a son of Mrs. Genevieve of Provo and the latetjtls Carling Carling His mother and other family . members witnessed the ceremony. Mrs. Carlii was happy when her son informed her that he had been sustained as a counselor to the bishop of the ward where they are livii. While in Salt Lake they were guests of his sister, Marilyn, and husband, Ralph Brown, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Elvon Butler visited at the home of their daughter, Barbara, and Leon Jensen, and family at Goshen on a recent Sunday. The occasion was the birthday of their granddaughter, Dana Jensen. They went to visit with the family and to wish Dana a happy birthday and give her a gift. son-in-la- w, Members of the special interest group held their fireside Sunday night after church at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Lyman. They listened to records from an album, entitled, 'Heritage," made by the Three Ds, telling the story of the Migration of the Saints Westward, in narration and song. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Griffith, Dr. and Mrs. Watson U Lafferty, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Cowan, Mr. and Mrs. Alva J. Moore, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Saunders, Mrs. Lurene Saunders, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Eggett, Mrs. Betty Ann Durrant and the host couple; Mr. and Mrs. Lyman. Refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Renzello have moved into the home of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Spainhower which they recently purchased from the Spainhowers. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Spainhower have moved into a triler home. The trailer is located on the west side of their sons lot about a block and across the street south from the Spring Lake Church. Trumbolt Park in Santaquin Canyon was the setting Friday night for the annual summer party of members of the Spring Lake Elder's Quorum and their wives, Bishop and Mrs. Kenneth D. Butler and Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Zeman were guests at the party. The group had a barbecued chicken supper with vegetables cooked Join parade : id foil Salad, punch, potaoe chips and cookies were added to the supper. After supper they sat around the bonfire, sang some songs and visited. The affair was planned by a committee and there were Get a hankering to ride a horse in the 57 Saturday evening the wardSunday School Superintendency and teachers and their partners and the Sunday School advisor, a member of the bishopric, gathered at Trumbolt Park in Santaquin Canyon for an outing and to entertain members of the recently released superintendency and their wives. The group enjoyed the coolness of the canyon and the supper of barbequed hamburgers with all the trimmings. After supper they enjoyed sitting around a bonfire and visiting. Teachers present were Mrs. Thelma Butler and Chad Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Johan Van Zeben children from Granger visited at home of Mrs. Van Zebens parents, and MrsMike Cowan. Shepherd and family of Stockton, Tooele Co. attended the wedding reception for Christine Hiatt and Michael Johnson Friday evening at Nebo Stake Center. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Berry and family are spending the summer at Mirror Lake where Mr. Berry and sons are employed at the lumber camps. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Wayman announce the arrival of a beautiful 8 lb. 11 12 oz. daughter, born June 18 at the Payson Hospital She was given the name of Rebecca Wayman. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. August Wehrli of Salt Lake and Mr. Wallace R. Wayman of EdgemonL Mrs. Mamie Seat accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Monte Chamberlain and two children of Las Vegas, Nevada to Bountiful where they visited one week with Mr. and Mrs. Gail Anger and daughter, Tiffany. Mr. Chamberlain attended an alcohol seminar held at the U of U inSalt Lake for juvenile delinquent officers. They visited Liberty Park, the zoo and visited relatives at Tooele. Gail Betts of Salt Lake spent the weekend with her father, Elvin Betts, and brothers and sisters. Gail is presently employed as a dental assistant for Dr. Hunter in Salt Lake. Regina Betts, a sister of Gail, visited one week in American Fork with Mrs. Sybil Green. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Cowan are happy over the arrival of a new granddaughter born June 18 at the Payson Hospital to John L. and Marilyn Hurst Cowan. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Hurst of Spanish Fork. The new baby has one sister, Marianne. Dr. and Mrs. Dwayne Buxton and three children and Dr. Buxtons sister of Vale, Ore. were overnight guests at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Cowan. They were enroute to Tucson, Arizona.
