Show three file nomination papers for co offices the political pot started boiling in iron county yesterday when three men filed nomination papers koput to put their names in the ballot for county offices in the general election this fall the three to file yesterday were county clerk W clair rowley county assessor surveyor hillman dalley dailey and county sheriff S C lamb all three of whom want to succeed themselves in their respective offices other filings will proba probably 0 be made before the week is ended as filing blanks have been obtained by two other present office holders and it is reported that one or two more are getting ready to file right away offices for which filings may be made are given in a notice found elsewhere in this issue of the times the first fi rs it two who filed mr rowley and mr dalley are both filing on the republican ticket and both have been officers in iron county for 22 i 5 ears the former being elected in 1920 for county treasurer and the latter for the job he now holds both have made fine records in their respective positions sheriff lamb who filled out his application in this office started in as deputy sheriff of iron county in january 1941 when sheriff chris went into the army service and served in that capacity until january 1 1942 when he was appointed as county sheriff when W M dalton re resigned sighed he has been a i very good peace officer since he started in this work and promises that if he is returned to that office to give a fair and term of service to iron county |
