Show 15A David Johnson, 8 Dies in SLC Eight year old, David Kelby Johnson, a Park City resident resi-dent was struck and killed while waiting on the curb at a crosswalk in Salt Lake last Friday evening. David was with his father Raymond C. Johnson and his friend ' Megan Holcomb and - her father Steve Holcomb, all also of Park City. David was born July 24, 1973 in Truckee, Calif, to Raymond C. and Frances Collins Johnson. He was a third grade student attend- " ing the Carden School in Salt Lake City. He had attended Park City schools for the past three years. David had attained the rank of Wolf in the Cub Scouts and many of his pack served as honorary pallbearers at his Tuesday funeral. David was a strong soccer player and enjoyed summer river rafting in the Lake Tahoe area with his family. David was also an avid skier and skied often with his father. David is survived by his parents, Raymond C. Johnson, John-son, secretarytreasurer of the Park City Ski Corp. and his mother Frances Johnson, a first grade teacher at Carden School in Salt Lake City. He is also survived by his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Ray L. Johnson of Park . City; Mr. and Mrs. William S. Collins, Blacksburg, Virginia; Vir-ginia; great grandmother Mrs. Irvin (Edith Johnson Salt Lake City. The family suggests contributions to the David Kelby Johnson Scholarship Scho-larship Fund. |
