Show SKI TEAM OPEN HOUSE An open house will be held i PARK at the United States Ski Team and National Training Center headquarters on Friday, August 2nd, from 6 PM. Refreshments and ski team literature will be offered to those attending. The new offices are located at 537 Main Street.- - Mr, Dick COTY NTDS GATHERS 4-- NEW POLICE CAR The Park City Police force unveiled a shiny new patrol car last week. The $4,218.66 air conditioned piece of law enforcement equipment was purchased Tuesday, July 23rd. In addition to the new car, Park City has a drive police vehicle in operating condition. Of three old care which are not being used (one of which has registered 148,000 miles), two will be put up for auction and one will be retained. and general manager of the organization, stated the purpose of the open house is to get to know the people of Park City. Most of the administrative and coaching staff will be on hand to relate the USSTs plans and aspirations for the coming competitive ski season. Gould, Participants in the four week National Training and Development Service seminar on public management and administration gathered on Sunday, July 28th to initiate the program. An attitude adjustment hour was held and was followed by a hamburger and hot dog feed near the Resort swimming pool. Dining the four week period of instruction and study, seminar participants will be conversing with citizens and city officials. They will seek opinions on the strengths and weaknesses of the community and ask for personal suggestions pertaining to desired changes. A wide range of managerial and administrative talent is possessed by those involved in the study and their focusing on the prides and problems of Park City should prove extremely beneficial. It is estimated that by serving as a laboratory city, our community will receive, free of charge, a consulting service valued at between vice-preside- nt four-whe- el CONGRATULATIONS Tony Rasmussen, formerly from the Park City area, was recently appointed Director of the new Bountiful Arts Center. Tony, now living in Salt Lake City, is the son of the late Larry Rasmussen who was the owner and manager of the old Skyline Cafe; Tony worked there un til 1970. The appointment to Director of the Arts Center is quite an honor for Tony, who. is only 31 years old. Congratulations! $25,000 NTDS WELCOME a " Staying at the Resort this week is the O.C. Hie State Board of Education FBLA Workshop will be lodged at the Treasure Mountain Inn on August 5th and PETERSON PERFORMS An Evening With Robert Peterson was presented on Sunday July 28th, as a part of the Park City Summer Series. A large and appreciative audience listened as the talented singer entertained with a section of his favorite melodies of musical theater. Mr. Peterson attended the University of Utah and the Julliard School of Music and has performed with numerous schools, on Broadway, arid with the Metropolitan Opera Studio. He alternated as Lancelot and King Arthur while on tour with the National Companys production of Camdot . 6th. CANCELED DUE TO ILLNESS The Joni Mitchell concert, scheduled for Friday, July 26th, was canceled due to the artists ill health. When informed by Ms. Mitchells manager that the show would not go on, representatives of United Concerts, the concert promoters, flew to Los Angeles to discuss the matter. It is not yet known if a rescheduling will occur or if any litigation will be forthcoming.
