Show Wednesday, April 10, 1974 Town Championships The Park City Town Chamraces were held pionship Tuesday, April 2, on the Payday run and the fastest time of the day was registered by Heinz Hammer. In the Pro Class, Heinzs 46.62 second mark was followed by Stein Eriksens 47.07 time. Finishing third was Hilly Ebling with a 48.04 and fourth place went to Gary Knudsons 48.28. Larry Carpenter took fifth place in the Pro Class with an elapsed time of 48.33 seconds. Mayor John Price was the fastest in the Over Thirty A NEW SCHOOL CRITICAL The Coalition would like to welcome the Marathon from skiers Travel Wausau, Wisconsin who are staying at the Claim-jumpHotel. Also in town this week are the Travel Teens from Anaheim, California. They are residing at the Chateau Apres Lodge. The Silver King Lodge is hosting the Lyons High from skiers School Geneva, New York and the er Johnson Travel skiers from Racine, Wisconsin. Following Mr. Price were, in second place, Matt Alvarez at 55.32, in third place, Jan Peterson with a 55.55 mark, in fourth place, Doug Hollingsworth who posted a 55.78, and in fifth place, Merrill Huseth who finished with a time of 56.97 seconds. Dick Robinson raced down the course in 49.81 seconds to lead all men in the Under Thirty' class. Taking second was Jim Totora with a 47.07 run. Third place for the under thirty group went to Skip McKinleys 51.02. Larry Smith, at 51.23, took fourth while fifth palce was claimed by Ken Woeckener with a 51.48 time. First place honors in the womens division were garnered by Jan Davis who registered a time of 54.44 seconds. Kathy Wilking placed second with a 55.95 mark and Jackie Craigle took third at 59.09. In fourth place was Kathy Dopp with a 1:00.79 critical building need exists in the Park City School Disrict. The present school buildings canA not accomodate additional students and the best population projections indicate the number of students will quadruple by 1980. Compunding this problem is the fact that the sizes of existing building sites are inadequate to qualify for state approved enlargement. Also, the age of the buildings will necessitate the expenditure of large sums of money for remodeling if they are to meet Life Safety Standards. Recognizing the urgent need for remedial measures, the School Board has taken steps which will hopefully result in a solution to the problem. The Board established a Citizens Building Advisory Committee whose function is to study the school situation and to recommend courses of action. The committee consists of Dennis E. In the Boys and Girls class, Doni Waldman completed the course in 51.16 seconds to claim a first while her friendly rival, Roxanne Toly, finished second with a 53.33.
